The next day is called (Alghasl) or (Alnagsh), in which the brides' hands are embossed with (Henna). Sometimes the bride will prefer not to put Henna due to some reason.  The bride will wear a luxurious fine dress for that party which is most of the time held in a rented celebration hall. The bride will enter the hall with a Zaffah until she makes her way to the (koshah), a well decorated spot in the hall prepared for the bride to sit.

Two days before the wedding, the groom resides banquet lunch for the bride's family in his home in which traditional food is serve.  Close friends and relatives are invited to it. He also must buy them ( khat), a plant which  yemen people used to chew in evening gatherings and parties. This is a tradidion often followed in the wealthy families for khat is expensive.

On the evening of that same day a celebration gathering is held for the groom and usually it will be in a celebration hall or the house of his family. A popular singer is brought to the party and they attendance will continue singing, dancing and chewing khat until late night. In the end of the party the friends of the groom will splash Henna on him and put it on his hair and he will try to run away , this accompanied by laughs and shouts of the attendances will add more fun to the evening. In some areas Henna is just put on the groom’s hands.

Then comes the wedding day, a big party is held for the groom in his family house or in a celebration hall, or in a big tent set for that purpose in front of his family’s house.

After sunset the groom will dress up like in the picture and will wear a beautiful collar of Arabian jasimine and basil around his neck.

Then he will go out and stand on the street in front of his family’s house, and then a special zaffah  begins after his family members stand beside him to walk with him, and the rest of the attendants will line up in a circular or a rectangular pattern to join the zaffah activity.

A singer will be hired to sing for the groom and most of the songs involve prayers to Allah and for prophet Mohammad (PSUH), the Salawat, and the audience will repeat after him.
